In 1981, Pastor Michael D. O'Neal preached a series of messages at Family Church that cast a vision for a new ministry, one that would teach children to follow God completely with their lives. Claiborne Christian School opened its doors in 1982 and is seeking to fulfill that vision. In 1999 the high school was closed, leaving grades K-8 in place. In May 2005 CCS graduated its first "new" class of seniors and is now open for grades Pre-kindergarten through twelve.
To train students to be fully devoted disciples of Christ.
Our mission is to partner with family and church to provide an atmosphere that encourages and equips students to do the following:
- Know, love, and serve Christ
- Think and act in accordance with the Bible
- And to strive for academic excellence
In order to fulfill the vision and mission, core values were established for Claiborne Christian School. These values are the basis for the day-to-day operations of CCS.
